About Morgan Watson
Morgan is a pretty 17 year girl with a beautiful soul, who freely lives and speaks about her Catholic faith.
Morgan was born on March 24th, 1993 in Port Arthur, Texas to John & Salina Watson. Morgan, her parents and two siblings (Mariah & Montana) moved to the North Dallas area in 2003. They liked the welcoming feeling at the Catholic community of St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco, Texas and eventually moved to Frisco in 2005 to be closer to the Parish and the new friends they had made.
Morgan's Leukemia story began in December 2009 when she started experiencing multiple bruising, tiredness, and raging headaches. On Friday, December 11th she woke up at 4:30am with a horrible pain that felt like she had "Charlie Horses" (severe cramping) all over her body.
The next day her mother took her for a blood test hoping it might tell them what was wrong. Early analysis indicated something more serious so on Monday 12/14 she was taken to Children's Medical Center in Plano, Texas for additional blood tests. Her platelets count was very low so it was decided she needed to be transferred to Children's Medical Center in Dallas for more thorough testing. After a bone marrow test on 12/15 her diagnosis of Leukemia was finally confirmed.
Over the next few days and more testing, it was finally identified as Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
